Days After Trump Sons Increase Drone Investments, Trump’s Pentagon Announces $200B for New Defense Contracts
Semafor reported Wednesday the Pentagon is recruiting 30 Wall Street investment bankers for a $200 billion program to facilitate new defense contracts during the Trump Administration’s final three years.
The news came just two days after Don Trump and Eric Trump announced they were investing in a second drone company, Powerus, which makes heavy-lift drones and technology to make boats remote-controlled or autonomous.
The deal also includes additional funds being raised for the drone company by Dominari Securities, of which both Trump sons are shareholders. Another drone company, Unusual Machines, that is advised by Don Trump, is also part of the fundraising deal.
In covering the Trumps’ drone investments, Reuters notes:
Drones have become a major procurement priority for the Pentagon.
