Kamala Harris Book on Presidential Run Coming in September
The memoir was written in the style of a political thriller.
Kamala Harris’ memoir on the 2024 presidential election will be released on September 23 by Simon & Schuster. The book’s title is 107 DAYS, a reflection of the short time she had to mount a campaign after Joe Biden’s unprecedented decision to drop out.
As a unique approach that highlights the pace of the 2024 presidential election, Harris partnered on the book with novelist Geraldine Brooks, giving it a political-thriller feel.
The book was edited by Jonathan Karp, CEO of Simon & Schuster, and Dawn Davis, a senior VP at Simon & Schuster and publisher of 37 Ink, an imprint which focuses on African-American authors.
This is Harris’ fourth book. The Truths We Hold was published in 2020 while she was on the Democrat presidential ticket with Joe Biden, the children’s book Superheroes Are Everywhere was released in 2019, and Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer came out in 2009. She has yet to write a book on her time as Vice President under Joe Biden.
